The latest developments in primary care IT were unveiled at the annual conference of the EMIS National User Group (NUG) which took place in Birmingham on Friday September 13, 2024.
The NUG conference is the highlight in the calendar of EMIS users across the UK and saw a packed schedule geared towards informing GP practice staff of the latest innovations and how to ‘work smarter not harder’.
NUG chair Rachael Lankshear said: “The annual conference is a key occasion on the EMIS NUG calendar and this year’s event was a major success.
“With the pressure on practice staff larger than ever and taking time out of the day job becoming increasingly more difficult we took the decision to condense the conference into one day rather than across two.
This proved a positive move with a number of delegates feeding back that the event being condensed into one day was the difference between them being able to attend or not.
“From the latest clinical developments and training sessions to practical support and best practice case studies, members were able to take away a wealth of knowledge and learning to benefit their practices.
“We’d like to thank all of our speakers and exhibitors for supporting the event, as well as our members for attending. We hope to see you all again next year.”
