Annual EMIS NUG conference a great success.
The latest developments in primary care IT were unveiled at our recent annual conference. The event, held over three days at the lavish Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, included a host of expert speakers, workshops, exhibitors and social events. The packed schedule was geared towards informing GP practice staff of the latest innovations and news on the EMIS system.
NUG chair Rachael Lankshear said:
“The annual conference is a key occasion on the EMIS NUG calendar and this year’s event was a major success. We managed to fit a huge number of events and activities into the itinerary, and the spectacular venue created a real sense oof style and professionalism.“From the latest clinical developments and training sessions to practical support and best practice case studies, members were able to take away a wealth of knowledge and learning to benefit their practices. It was wonderful to meet so many members and get your views on the NUG and how we can improve your experience as a member. We’d like to thank all of our speakers and exhibitors and particularly the sponsors for supporting the event, as well as our members for attending. We hope to see you all again next year.”
Among the conference highlights was a talk by Susy Foster, CEO of EMIS Health and EMIS Enterprise, who presented the latest developments for EMIS X – a cloud-based suite of analytics tools. Jennie Dock’s talk on staff wellbeing and meeting Quality and Outcomes Framework targets also proved popular with delegates.
Conference delegate Dr Clare Dyer said: “I found the conference extremely beneficial and was able to take back some key messages and actions for my team.I attended a couple of talks from EMIS, about its plans going forward and look now understand a little more about EMIS X”.
