Enabling Sharing Agreements for QSurveillance and QResearch
The University of Nottingham manages two important programmes: QResearch and QSurveillance. QResearch uses an extract of coded, pseudonimised data for research (producing tools like QRisk), while QSurveillance uses anonymous aggregate data for disease surveillance (for example the rates of flu-like illness).
More details fo these programmes are available at QResearch and QSurveillance
To participate in these programmes the practice needs to activate the respective data sharing agreements within EMIS Web as shown in this video.
To access this you will require the RBAC activity B0109 Local Restricted System Administration. If you use a Smart Card to access EMIS Web you will need to speak to your local Registration Authprity Administrator (usually your practice manager). If you access EMIS Web via a username and password this video will show how your system administrator can add the role to your profile.
